Simone Audette,

MS LMFTA, (She/They)

Welcome! I am Simone (she/they). My clients typically find that their social identities & challenges center around neurodiversity, giftedness, high sensitivity, CPTSD, chronic illness, queer & trans experience, non-monogamy, mystical or spiritual experience, anxiety, depression, grief, and folks who care deeply about the human impact on our planet.

I have a special interest in supporting deep and honest connections that span differences and have worked with all genders, racially diverse couples and families, mixed neurotype couples and families, mixed ability couples, and situations where an individual or partner may be feeling chronically unheard or misunderstood.

Therapy Style

You can expect me to be an active participant in therapy. My style is animated, direct, deep, penetrative, and holding. I’ll always seek to support your specific cadence, flow, needs, and goals. I am a firm believer of leaning away from passive-style talk therapy and towards a more active mapping, connecting, linking, and feeling experience so that your therapy sessions can become a place of brave change that will support you even after therapy is complete.

The specific therapy modalities that I work from are Internal Family Systems, collaborative language systems, polyvagal theory, and somatics. If it feels right, we can also incorporate art, sound, and ritual. I also incorporate my training in the Gottman Method and Emotion Focused Therapy for couples when it’s appropriate.
